Chris is upset when his mom asks him to give up his fun plans for the weekend so he can help his quirky old aunt. Who would ever want to do such a thing? Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo to ancient Bethlehem. They meet a young widow named Ruth who gives up her family and her homeland to serve her mother-in-law, Naomi.
